Green light means it's getting power.....

But, the PSU could be giving dodgy currents...

My place took a strike (I was out at the time) and it blew the noodles out of two telephone sockets (and no, a surge protector WON'T stop this type of hit), a telephone exchange, two sky satellite receivers, a freesat receiver, the satellite LNB, my router and my PC :bang:.

The PC mobo was damaged even though it was switched OFF at the time. I suspect the strike got through on the LAN circuit.

New mobo I'm afraid.

I've got one of those dumbfangled surge protectors that protects against surges from everything that goes into the PC - power, LAN and even phone line.

As long as any mains powered USB devices are getting their power from the protector, the surge can't surge in through the USB.

Cool, MasterPlug will replace any of my broken equipment when that happens. :)

We encourage you to continue to work directly with your seller, as we have found that many misunderstandings reach amicable solutions through communication."
