hi my wife has cinq sprorting 97 for no reason the steering goes very light it feels as though you are skating on ice for a split second, then it returns to normal. any ideas thanks

What input is the car getting at the time? What state are the tyres (and which tyres?) in? Does it have power steering?
Its a cinq, so no power steering, as far as I recall. With all the current threads about heavy steering this is a strange one indeed.

hi no power steering tyres all good and at corect presure have driven it myself since problem occured but it handled fine. i think she may have driven through an oil or deisel spill. my wife says she was changing gear 3 to 4 when it went light.
Might just be that. Doing the shopping today Blue2 went a bit light which, on the Uniroyals, is almost unheard of.
