Just a quick one, I've got the mrs insured on the brav for 2 months while she preparing for her driving test. What I need to know is can she drive at night on her provisional with me in the car?

Any help appreciated!!

Cheers

Im pretty sure she can m8 but you have to be in the car. She can drive in any conditions and anywhere but motorways as far as i know.

I've never heard of a curfew for provisional licence holders. ;)

Cheers Boys, hopefully this extra practice will help her pass, even if we do end up killing eachother!!

Well id neva let a missus loose in my bravo so top marks to ya and good luck to ya missus on her test!!

The only restriction is motorways everything else is fine. My dad taught me to drive and thats the only time we have ever fallen out he shouted at me and i didnt talk to him for 2 days.

As long as the other person in the car is over 21 and has been driving for 3 years, then a provisional driver can go out on the roads

Yeah, that's the only restriction for now - no doubt the DSA will think of more to foist on everyone in the coming years though.

I'm teaching my missus at the moment, but we are both well over 21 and she's learning in my previous main car, (a Daihatsu) and she's not allowed near the Marea:)

As it happens we bought the bravo on the prentense that it would be hers when she passed. Then it's over to the world of the HGT for me! She had a bit of an issue yesterday though in that she struggled to plant her right foot on the floor and get any more than her toes on the accelerator pedal! Surely people with size 5 feet should be able to drive it. Not sure if she had the seat not adjusted right or what, any ideas??

lol i had to go try this after i read it. My feet are a 5ish and aslong as the seat is as far down as possible ive got no problems reaching! good luck to your girlfriend learning :)

Small women are funny when they drive lol

The mrs has to put the seat right forward, put the seat upright and raises the seat, plus uses a pillow lol

Gets on my nerves putting it all back to I decided not to insure her last time around. Told her I forgot lol

I know a short woman who drives a Toyota Previa SUV. She has the seat as far forward as possible. She was wondering what i was laughing at. Her nose was nearly touching the top of the steering wheel.
Typical woman, she couldn't see the funny side.
Her 'normal' car is a 1960's FIAT 500 Bambina. She won't let me buy it. So unfair!
