I'm new to this forum (hello!)
Anyway, my Automatic Fiat Punto Speedgear is having some electrical problems.

When i brake, the gear selector clicks and some times the display says i'm in reverse when i'm in drive and moving forward. Also, when i indicate left with the lights on, the indicator will intermittently flash as will the brake light (indicator flashes, brake light goes out etc)
I had a look around on here and apparently this is quite a common fault which can be traced back to a bad earthing connection?

WHERE IS THE EARTH WIRE?! As far as i know, it's in the boot by the left light cluster. Just been out looking for it and i (nor my dad) could find it.

Can somebody point me in the right direction?

Hi Jack, new member here also. Just wondered if you've successfully dealt with your Speedgear problem, only I've just had exactly the same, including idle revs going up and down in time with hazard lights flashing. Following forums advice, traced to the black earth pin on rear LEFT light cluster. Cleaned this and re-assembled, no more problems, so if you haven't already done so make that your next job, it works a treat.

I had a problem with mine but with the right cluster, on the connector (thats in the car behind the left cluster) make sure all the gaps between the pins are the same, mine had come apart some reason, pushed it back with a screwdriver and it's perfect.
