The problem I have is with my marea weekender leaking water,it seems to be coming from sunroof and accumulates under drivers side sun visor then drips down onto steering wheel and seat and only seems to happen after torrential rain. Sometimes its fine and at others absolutely soaking, anyone any ideas or tips on fixing this problem? Thanks in advance from a wet assed guy *ggg*

To drive or be driven, that is the ?

if its coming thru the sunroof onto the drivers side then i would think the leak is right of midline in the car roof but you could try the antenna fixing hole for rust around the edges of it, only a pinhole would do. imyho the aerial is probably a better bet and easier to mess with

Hi,
Sounds like you might have a blockage in the sunroof drain chanels. Try fishing about with a bit of wire. I found a moth the size of a pool ball in mine.

Like mentioned before the usual cause of these leaks are the arial gasket.

My Marea Weekender had a serious leak.
I too hoped it was something simple like the antenna seal or blocked drainage holes.
No such luck, however.
I had to have the main dealer strip down and remove the whole "tray" unit and replace and reseal everything again.

Cost of the full job - €400 - due to the amount of labour time

welcome to the forum :)
i wonder if drivingscot ever fixed his, its been over a year now :)

Hi had the same problem with mine but was above the passenger sun visor. Some wire pushed up the sunroof drain did the trick.

sorry its taken me so long to get back to you all on this ,the leak is still there but happens a lot less now, still no real idea why it happens.

(p.s wheres the drain holes for sunroof so I can try clearing them?)

I've suffered this for 3 years now ! I checked the drains - no blockages here, replaced the seal around the sunroof & fitted a new aerial. No luck. The leak has rusted the steel frame supporting the glass now, which won't help. The car's not worth the cost of a new one, so I've got an advert in the classified section for a second hand one. In the mean time I seal it up with silicon in the winter, then pull it all off in the summer so I can use it!
