General Leaking headlamp washers

My Y plate JTD has an annoying leak on the headlamp washers. Neither of them actually spray the lamps, they just contantly dribble! I have to fill the tank up at least once a week! Anyone have any suggestions or a fix?

Does the headlamp washer leak constantly even wben not used? Or is just a dribble of water coming out when used?

It seems to dribble all the time..as the water in the washer bottle need filling again after a week!!

Thats weird...headlamp washers only come on when you have the main beam on and you wash windows. Cannot understand why the would dribble all time, unless you drive with headlights on even during day and wash your window frequently?

They just seem to dribble out...thought maybe there is a one way valve on the tubing that's failed..

Really the only thing you can do is just check all tubes and see if like you say an internal valve stuck open...likely to happen if you use tap water on the water tank as then limescale just builds up...

Your headlight washer anti syphoning valve is passing.
Because your headlight washers are lower than your tank it auto syphons.

How do I know this???...
I just had mine out cos I've the same problem.
I temporarily fixed the leak by plugging the pipe from the pump.
Now I need to find a replacement... Anyone know where to get one????

It looks like a t piece but it's actually a syphon breaker aswell.

Halfords do one way valves..
Where abouts is the valve oin the car?

The valve is just after the wash bottle.
If you remove your drivers side fog lamp(3screws) it's all very easy to access.
The pumps just lift off the bottle too... Worth popping them off... There was cris stuck to thx bottom on both of mine and was having a huge impact on pressure.
The valve looks like a T piece /Y piece.
The pump on the right looking in is for tour headlamps... Throne to your left is for the windows.
I'll see if halfords have those...altho k think mine just needs a tywrap as the unit itself was leaking.

Yeah...I've had the fog lamp off and couldn't see a tee piece there...maybe that's why mine leak..
Definately do them in halfords as I had to by one a year back for my other car..near the washer pumps etc

Has to be tee piece to go from pump to two lamps... Unless someone bypassed it and just ran it to one headlamp??.. But u say it's leaking out both??

Have another look... It's the pump on the right,splitter is 6 inches after it it's confusing at first as there's two pumps.

Anyway mine has finally stopped dripping and I've the car almost a year!!!
