Technical Leak under gearbox

I have a leak under gearbox where the right handside c.v. joint arm comes out. right-wheel drive b.t.w. (uno 1100cc )

What wil the implications be to repair this issue. (i have noticed that my gears are stiffy and i have to top up now and then on gearbox oil.)

Looks like the rotary shaft seal is worn.
The gear oil also lubricates the drive shaft.
I´m not very sure about your model since these parts
are different varying by the type of engines.

thx for your reply mate, well i think its a 94' onwards model. however i wish you can shine some light on the rotary shaft how to repair. money is not an issue here but i love to get things done on my own.:slayer:

off topic: i am pumping 5ooo watt mono block in it soon, hope it does nt lossen any bolts and nuts (no boot space as we speak)

You´ll have to loosen the central nut of the drive shaft in the wheel.
Then loosen the suspension strut at the base.
I´t might work taking out only the lower screw.
Cover the rubber gaiter with some cloth !
Now push the shaft out of the stub axle.
Loosen the rubber gaiter on the gear.
Gear-Oil will leak ! You call pull out the shaft then.To replace the shaft seal you will have to open the spring lock washer in the ball joint. ( wheel side) It is covered in grease and you will need special pliers.Then pull the ball joint off and you can slide the
rotary shaft seal off toward the wheel side.Fixing the rubber gaiter also works with cable straps.

That is also my motto, i am not going to use all that power,it was n bargain i got, but is nice to know i 'has' it under the boot. since my baby is mostly for showing off and cruizing the streets .Lol
