Sort of!

Had a nasty patch of patchy, lacquerless paint, but didn't want to get the whole bonnet resprayed (even though the £100 I was quoted was good)...

So decided to just cover it up. A bit of fun too.

Same with the fogs. Broken glass on the o/s - used heavy duty protective film in fog-busting yellow and... well maybe not to everyone's taste but we like it.

Hello.

Like it, Nice to see our old bus is still going too.

How is she running?

Looks a bit different to when we had her, we never got the bonnet done either, or the fog glass.

She was on eBay for a short time until we decided against it to be honest. She has sort of wormed her way into our hearts a bit. Just been serviced and has four high quality tyres which have improved handling and ride immensely. We gave her another good valet and we're off to France for a few days at the end of the month.

Now approaching 124,000 miles and still going strong.

A few things to sort, which are an issue (because of the cost) are: minor oil leak (seal at the gearbox end) which if we want to fix is a gearbox out jobby (so might as well do the clutch at the same time), the rear exhaust is showing signs of being on the way out - three months of life in it I estimate. The airbag warning light stays on now, but I'm ignoring it (covered up!).

Most irksome are the windows in the sliding doors. They're really loose on their runners and don't go up happily at all. Trouble is it's not an easy fix - nor cheap - unless I can source a good pair of replacement doors... so it's something I'd reluctantly live with.

But on the whole a really useful vehicle and she's got spirit too, returning reasonable mpgs and happy cruising at 80 all day, in comfort.

Hats off to the old gal.

Most of the things that you mentioned just seem to be signs of age now, she is 12.

Sounds like you're having less issues with that one, than we are with ours. 2000 JTD EL, front ball joints seem to be made of toffee, and now the turbo has blown up. What a pig of a job that is to replace!
