Car is in for dual mass flywheel and clutch. This is preventive maintenance. Whilst its in they have identified the aircon condenser needs changing and more exhaust works
Looking forward to getting it ready for its big trip end of next week

Lovely! We didn't get quite that far South, staying on Sveti Stefan for a week (before it got redeveloped and way out of our price range!) and mainly headed inland into the mountains and lake. Previously we'd stayed on the fjord just outside Kotor and pottered around that area. Fond memories - Panda will like that!

It’s almost a new car now!

I'd have bought a new one if they'd still made it.
It is a unique vehicle
Worse in many ways than many more expensive and better engineered cars I've owned..
But i love it

Yep, I know exactly what you mean. Mine still has problems which I am chasing but I still love it and keep spending money on it

So back from garage.... witnessed the old clutch and dual mass flywheel. Original equipment at 80k... friction plate down to rivets...dual mass flywheel with substantial play in it.
So overall a good controlled maintenance moment.
Better than roadside in the mountains of Montenegro
Required a new air conditioning condenser and we are now ready for the off
Clutch pedal now super light...

How much for all of that work?

So report on 100 run in...the Bluespark map is running stage 3 of five
Proper increase in tractability... torque is increased...the horrid dip at 3k rpm has disappeared and overall it feels properly nippy now.
Can switch maps through Bluetooth but for now all is well

I was going to ask how that was going. Sorely tempted.
Got 179k miles on the clock, what could possibly go wrong? 🤣

Spike

Well
2500 km in three days and the car was faultless. Consumed no oil and just regular fuel stops
France, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina and finally to it's new home in Montenegro
Car was comfortable and at 75mph cruise was a joy to be in.
What an amazing little car

Brilliant! I’m so pleased you made it and the Panda did its job. I wish I could say the same for mine. I still don’t seem to be able to locate my issue and until I find it, I don’t think it will make the journey to Spain.
