We have been having trouble with the Ulysse, it has been stuttering and the fuel consumption has been terrible. I thought it was the LPG installation, but we had this serviced and it was also doing it on petrol. Anyway finally got it serviced by a really good mechanic at Roberts Aerospace (he is a Fiat, Alfa and Italian sports care expert) and he confirmed that the second lambda sensor is faulty. I had plugged a diagnostic tool in myself and the readings for the second sensor were not right.
The strange things is that I disconnected the cable from the lambda sensor and it didn't trigger the engine warning light, which it should. I am wondering whether the recall they did a while back for the engine management has disabled the warning light. Twice in the first year we had the warning light came on and we got an emissions error. They then did this software upgrade and we haven't seen it since.
Does anybody have the part number for the sensor and maybe a place I could buy one. Also is the pre cat sensor the same as the post cat. It's a 2003 petrol 2.0 auto eleganza.
Thanks
