Technical Lambda Engine light

Hi Chaps.

I managed to rip through the pre-cat lambda cable and of course the engijne light has come on.
I've ordered a boss and new Lambda and wanted to know if the engine light will go off automatically when I plug the new one in?

The light should go out on its own , it may take a few drive cycles before it goes out.
The fault will remain stored in memory until erased. So if in future you have running issues and read the codes it will come up then.

stored codes clear if you disconnect the battery for a short while - so just disconnect it before you start the job of replacing the lambda and it should be cleared by time you finished
