Been a knocking noise coming from rear suspension for a while now, changed the shocks few months back and it seemed to stop until I was on way back from Blackpool its knocking constantly now, even when on an even road with no bumps, any ideas guys?
its coming from outside the car and had a look down the exhaust and handbrake area yesterday, all seems good and making no noises, I moved the exhaust up and down left to right etc and all was fine.
Does it happen in relation to speed? Eg the faster you go the quicker the knocking?
Just thinking as I had something similar but it turned out to be a driveshaft boot had gone and it needed a new CV joint fitting.
See whether it knocks whilst you're coasting and when you're on or off the power too.
nah it aint in relation to speed it happens more when i go over bumps, to correct what i said yesterday when its on a totally flat road it seems ok (just a little bit now and again as obviously you cannot get a perfectly flat road so on the minor ups downs etc it does still knock.
right driving home last night and as it was quite decided to try and get a video with the sound of the knocking in! If you listen carefully u can clearly hear it about the thirty second mark. also when the timer says its got 25 seconds left you can hear it.
