Would resetting the ecu after a battery change alter the kick down on an auto box??
Reason I'm asking is cause before when i floor my foot down at say 70mph the box stayed in top gear ie: it would'nt kick down.
But now it kick's down at any speed.
Does the ecu actually control the box??
I presume it does cause of the ice and sport settings on it next to the shift lever. Also the car seem's more responsive now and the mpg's settled down to a steady 30-33mpg(Not bad for a auto)and that's without really trying.
Any help would be appreciated
