Key Soldered but another problem!

i will need a working micro switch first mate, it sounds nackerd

ill solder it all back togever for you, but i need that working micro switch first....and i havent been able to find a part number or any were where i can get one :S
 
what ill do is ill try getting another key from ebay. ill take it apart and send you my chip and the chip i get from ebay. if you can.. can you take the chip out off the one i buy and put it on my chip? if thats possible?

Looking at the ampunt of solder there, I'd be surprised if the chip will still function properly. The heat transfer there would not do it much justice at all.

As latest sugguestions, start afresh !
 
I've seen that problem before, and its not the key switch sticking. When you press the button, however quickly the unit turns on. latches itself on,and goes thro a complete data sending cycle, then switches itself off if the button is not still pushed. So I think the unit has had it. It must be transmitting if the doors unlock so its fairly easy to get the remote codes read and use that to load in a replacement one. Fiat sometimes have the remote codes, but mostly they are missing from the database, and you only find that out after you have paid for them.
 
ahh yea! thats what happens. the problem is i rang fiat today and they said to ring me dealereship in leicestershire. so i did.. and they said that mk2 bravo do not have codes.:S
 
Well if you are down near Milton Keynes I can read the code from the transmitted signal, then you can use it to load in a replacement pcb or key.
 
hi barry. well i dont mind coming its not fat from me. after you have read the codes? can i just get any key and thr remote will work? and also how can you read the codes? thanks
 
Once you have one of the old codes you can load any remote into car.
I dont want to reveal all of my secrets, but in general I load your key into an "open" receiver, then I read the open receiver and interpret the loaded codes to resolve the remote code.
