key fob probs

Hi all, a few weeks ago my key fob stopped working and upon taking it a part i found a microswitch loose inside. Now I'm not sure if I broke this switch off while opening it or what but I've had it fixed by a electronics buff and now the red LED on the job works agin.

Thing is, it still won' open the doors!

Any ideas?

Its a 98 mk1 Sporting 1.2

may need to be reprogrammed into the ecu, or the switch may not be the only thing that was broken.

How do you go about reprogramming it?
The only thing i can find i the fiat handbook involves the alarm, which i dont seem to have

Have a look in the technical section for your car (Punto I assume)
