Welcome back, I use Harly wax to keep it looking good. Generally thought to be one of the best products on the market and at £20 a tin it should be. It would work well on your car as it's dark and gives a very deep reflection. The art is getting a good base to work on so a good polish first with Auto Glym super resin polish and buff to a shine. Then apply the Harly wax to keep it looking good. Go into the car care section and search on "Harly" for more info.

If you end up going to the Gaydon meet I will happily let you have a tin (once used) gratis.

i agree just clean, polish and wax!

But i would say also use turtle wax glossgaurd, it just seals the wax in and is amazing! I use to live in the country and suffered loads on bugs splattered on me bonnet and bumper in the summer and using this they just fall off with ease. WOrth every penny also its been recommend product of the year by autoexpress for quite a number of years now! Halfrauds sell it :)

Over the years I've used all sorts of weird and wonderful stuff to keep my cars clean and shiny. I bought some stuff off eBay which was a three part kit (cleaner, polish and wax) which was awesome value for money but I haven't seen the same stuff re-advertised :(

I've found that you do need to take the 3 pronged approach (clean/polish/wax) for the best results - for example I did my Stilo a month ago and the wax is only now beginning to 'thin' after many many hosings etc etc. I occasionaly help a guy prepare classic cars for concours and after initially using more well known brands he switched to this stuff http://www.swissol.co.uk/products/entry-collection-kits.asp but it's buggeringly expensive
Worth every penny though, it really is good stuff (y)
If you want to try some out there's usually small tubs of stuff on eBay
If it's just a really good wax you want look for something which is high in caurnuba content (say 20% minumum), that stuff really is the mutts nuts :D

   thats bloody expensive!!! i would not spend that much on wax to spread it over my car....thats crazy. Anybody know anything about that MEGUIARS WAX PASTE????? Is it any good????

I've used Auto Glym Super resin polish and Extra gloss protection in the past and decided to try Meguras (spl) 3 part Deep crystal (3 for 2 in Halfrauds) and both give sh!t hot results my old man has a 51 plate Ford Focus Estate in Colorado Red and it looked orange as it had a large amount of muck stuck to the top coat.
we spent several hours attacking it with SRP and finishing with EGP and it looks like new. untill my old dear parked it under a tree near my grans :bang:

just done my GP with the meguras 3 stage and got a nice shine but it was shiny to begin with but its smooth again but its more work than with autoglym
