Keeping alloys clean

Ive taken my alloys off for the winter so now is the perfect time to get a decent sealent/wax on them. Ive used auto finesse mint rims before but only ever done one layer of it as the wheels had to go straight back on the car.

Any reccomendations on whats good to use? Want to keep them clean for as long as possible once they go back on in the spring.

Oh and they're white...

Elbowgrease....(and a good car wash-wax).

If you have a pressure washer, use Bilberry Wheel cleaner. Dilute it with water and a bottle (1L or 5L) will last you ages. Takes nearly all the elbow grease out of cleaning wheels so you don't mind cleaning them so often.

Refering to the fact - what ever product you use - it's gonna require some hard work to get it to be resistant

Tbh the best thing for white alloys is a really good prep clean

snow foam it - Wash it - Iron remover - Tar remover - Rewash - dry
Then get sealing with multiple layers

I hate cleaning my alloys - the same but stock silver....

Well of course it's going to require some work, but you don't need to scrub them all the time, and will be miles better than a 'wash and wax'

Thanks for the suggestions.

Ive gone for platinum wheels by carbon collective, but will keep in mind the other poducts mentioned on here in future

Ive been using autoglym custom wheel cleaner and iron x so i'll invest in some bilberry wheel cleaner as well.

Be VERY careful using any wheelcleaner containing acid ( most do) recognized f.i. by a ( small) black symbol on orange background...
Only a small amount will attack over time wheelbolts/nuts tread, and other parts without protecting paint...
I NEVER use wheelcleaner, just warm water, a mit and a good carwash.

billburry wheel cleaner is great stuff and lasts for ages I seal mine with poorboys wheel sealent it works pretty well

Bilberry is acid free. Worth buying in 5L bottles, works out a lot cheaper. I usually pick it up on Amazon, about £25 - £30 for 5L but lasts ages.

I bought 1ltr diluted it 3:1 did all the wheels twice and still had 100mm in the spray bottle its great stuff and smells nice
