K&N question!

I've put a k&N on my 1.8 and i've got a standard exhaust, and the sound you get is pretty amazing when u put your foot down.

I think it depends what engine u got!

k&n are ok for sound really if you want a nice sound with standard exhaust but arent overly fussed about performance gains get a foam filter induction kit ( still get slightly sharper response from throttle) these give a real throaty growl to them very nice if i dont say so myself lol

think I'm jus gonna have to try it......I have a 1.6 hlx and its gotta improve the sound a lil!

i have a 1.6 100sx and a K&n with no exhaust and when you put your foot down my my does it roar!!!!

got a k&n on my 1.2 with a standard exhaust and when you give it some wellie its amazing...

also had the exhaust only running from the manifold, mine sheered off mind, on a 1.1 fiesta and oh my god, could have gone all day if it wasnt for the old bill!

i just pulled off the pipe that goes into the air filter box (the pipe that goes in from the front, not the pipe that goes out to the air flow meter) and it sounds just like the ICEMAN i used to have on my honda (think ICEMAN used K+N cone filters. they looked like K+N cone filters anyway.)

and it wont cost extra on insurance either. throttle response has improved (due to the shorter tract) and the sound is great. took me all of two minutes.
