Just read the FAQs on clubcento and it says about how to get rid of flat spots, it says to replace the panel filter with a straight through one or words to that effect.

It says don't use a K&N one, is this the case with induction kits as well???

Why not have a K&N one, I have one and don't seem to have a problem with it.

Opinions please:)
Flat spots???

A few Clubcento members have had bad experiences with K&N compared with other makes of filter.
Flatspots - When in third gear and at about 2000rpm floor it and wait for the flatspot normally between 3-3.5k rpm, you will feel it slow up in acceleration then pull away again once its past 3.5k rpm.
Flatspots right where you need it when overtaking on the motorway!

i have that problem I never knew it was a flat spot, I just live with it, is there a way of getting rid of it

filter helps, decent plugs and leads make a tiny difference, and a superchip will wipe the flatspot out completely.

plugs and leads can wait till the next service cause i've just had one on my sei.

What is this super chip how much is it and what does it do???

EDIT: been looking for super chips for a seicento but can't find any, would cinq ones fit and work cause aint it the same engine????, seen the Van aken turbo conversion for a cinq, would one of them fit a sei

Cheers
Gaz

It changes the fuelling and ignition timing to the values that give the best performance, where the standard ecu values are arranged around safety margins and allowing for people not servicing the car on time etc. Mine gained a claimed 8bhp at the wheels, and was 5mph faster flat out afterwards. Throttle response is now so sharp that it can actually be difficult to hold a dead steady 30mph in built up areas!
