Right car is booked in for a week today, gonna get a full service, cambelt changed and MOT so thats gonna take away most/all of my wages lol

Not sure yet, i need to confirm my booking tomorrow because i need to jump my car to at least get it running so i can get it too him and so he wont charge me for collecting it and il ask him then so il get back to you tomorrow about that, been looking through my history and i dont think its ever been done which is pretty dangerous for a 16v engine and tbh i dont really care how much its gonna cost because id rather pay that than have to get a new engine/car lol

eek thats a bit scary, i only ask coz im looking at getting mine changed in the summer :)

Yeah, do you have the 8 or 16v engine? If its an 8v then if it snaps then nothing will be damaged but if mine goes, my engine will be basically be totalled lol thats why id get it done asap if its 16v

u got round to fitting ur induction yet? seen that one b4 and was tempted to swap my diy induction for that one. just wanted to see how it looks etc.

glad ya decided to change ur cam belt. did mine not long back. just in time too cos it was looking pretty perished.

Right well i STILL havnt got my car back yet, should be getting it back either monday or tuesday now, i hope. Want to fit my induction kit!
Also found a guy on another forum that will smooth and badboy my bonnet for cheap as chips so that MAY be getting done at some point (y)
Just cant wait to get back in my own car now, its sad driving my mums clio lol

yeh 8valvs safe engine wont bend any valves at all...however do your really want a belt to snap and fly around inside the timing cover at say 5k revs...is best to have it changed mate :)

he said that i can get it smoothed, badboy'd and re painted for £120 and postage should be around £20-£30 :D
Nah sorry mate think il pass, but il let you know if i ever want some!

thats well cheap that mate and postage sounds cheap aswel tbh...be carefyull tho metalic paint and may not be exact colour match they normally have to blend it into the wings to colour mate but might eb alrite :)

Well id go to a scrappy and get another bonnet and send that too him just incase it got messed up so id still have a good one to run with (y)

Awesome cheers mate. Still not got my car back, gonna chase them up tomorrow because its been 2 weeks today without a car and im costing my girlfriend loads in petrol taking me around places. Once its back ive got a couple new stickers to get stuck on it though and my induction kit :D
Question is, get banded steels without tyres that are fiat banded steels so no wobble bolts required or get coilovers and no wheels?

intresting mine is crack in exacly same place thats driver side aswell even more weried!!
