no problem mate (y)

yeah that'd be cool, if he happens to see owt, let me know :) ,

but im very picky, haha, im after a bravo, has to be hgt, must be the later 155 bhp model (only made 99-00), yellow or black, fairly standard or totaly unmodified, needs the cambelt just done, red key, tax and m.o.t........ not too much to ask then!!! hahaha :p

theres a black (though i say its more dark blue) one on ebay, looks decent, but im a bit suspicious that the number plate styles dont match, possibly been in bump of some sort, maybe not of course!! :p, only problem is the auction ends boxing day and i need it badly before xmas, and its down in norwich..... and i cant get down there to pick it up, haha

contact the seller and ask if by any chance he will give you a cash buy it now price[most will],and end auction early ,
if need help with mechanics ect,im sure my dad would,nt mind a day out,as awaiting to find new premises at moment[problem is he smokes like a chimney, lol],
loves haggling for cars ect.

aye, :) i'm away to ask a few bits about the belts, keys, history.. all that jazz :)

i'll get a postcode off him or her too, so i can get some delivery price set up. but they might want to just take the gamble on the auction..... its worth a shot anyway :)

cheers for the offer bud, i'll keep it in mind!

Howdy bud.
Congrats on the choice of engine. The 20V VIS is an absolute joy especially after 4.5K. ;)

Word of advice though. Noticed in the RR thread your thinking of turboing it? Don't. Bottom end can't handle the torque. It's easier and cheaper and will result in more power to get a busted Coupe 20VT and do a transplant of the entire front end. (y)

hi again,
thanks for the welcome [Martyn, the beast, faitfxr],
will not be turbo,n now just likely a remap to get rid of a couple of flat spots, and try get torque to come in sooner say 2500 revs[seen one somewhere where angle-tuning done and got torque coming in then].

merry xmas and happy new year when it comes all.

yea,but mine kickin in at 4500 the now, want it lower 2.5-3.0 prefered.

hey up lad :D welcome

cento you not be better with a fiat coupe 16v turbo instead of the bravo hgt i mean its a lot more reliable and easier to fix and more fun to drive :)

cheers abyss113,thanks for the welcome hope i meet you all at rr day at end of march.

2ltr 16v turbo.....
Fun?, yes as there are many lancia parts using the same set-up = powerful tuning made easy

Reliable? mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

as the standard con rods will snap after 300bhp and yes fear the dreaded weak 3/4 inch wide timing belt which loves to sheer the teeth if you drop the gears too hard (or sudden burst of power due too high performance). If you know the engine well you can counter act these costly problems with a set of rods that cope upto 700+Bhp for £400 and a diesel regeta timing belt (1 inch wide).

best to check common faults with the engine b4 choosing one which suits your needs.

i was saying reliable standard not mentioned anywhere about modding as with anycar you lose reliability when you up the power to much i was mainly meaning its a alot easier to change the timing belt and tensioner on the 16vt than the 20vt and for the difference of around 30bhp its a lot more cost effective

unfortunatley nobody will insure me for a coupe even a 16v non turbo's insurance is crazy despite it being roughly the same group as the bravo :(

for some strange reason i was getting a cracking deal on the hgt's insurnace, but i cant get one anywhere..... the black one on ebays a no go, i emailed the guy and he doesnt have a clue when the timing belt was last changed, no red key, no history with it at all...... yeah, i think ill be avoiding that one!!!!
