Don't laugh:D Having just got rid of a buggy project I was looking for a new "toy" to play with and found a cheap Onyx Firecat in need of TLC. I think this is a Uno based one -- but 'til I get my greasy mitts on it I know nothing!

Anyways ... just thought I would pop in here to say hello (y)

Will be after a few bits n bobs I am sure, as well as info, cos Fiats are new beasties to me  and, to be honest, until the rush of blood to my head, would never had considered getting this little kit car before

Any others on here care to admit to owning one of these -- and better still have a build manual and any other info :D

Was this the one in Wales on Ebay?

If so, it has a hard top- I would be interested to see that.

I have two of these for some reason- if you ever need any reference pictures get in touch. I might also be able to give you some useless information as well.

Hi Jon. Yes, it was the one on ebay. Apparently the hard top is damaged but repairable. Will have a butchers when I get it here and see if it can be repaired, or if it's better to use it as a plug and make a new mould.

Am interested in ANY info ( useless or otherwise ) :D

I am allso told it needs a new battery, which is smaller than a "standard" car battery ( maybe a gel battery ??? ). What battery does it use ?

No they seem standard but are in different places on my firecats. Yours is or looks like the revised version, so probably has gas struts on the bonnet.

This calls for a photo! (Is there no battery in there already?)

Apparently not -- car arrives this afternoon, so will get a look then and will get some pictures ...... as long as the rain holds off !

Oh right- you might be fairly close geographicly, I am near Corsham, so the Somerset (which may be near Zummerzet?) may not be too far away. My good one is going on a track day on Monday at Keevil airfield.

About 80 miles --- I am in Taunton, which is the other side of Somerset :)

Well -- she arrived today and I have put some pics up in Member's Cars.

Jon ... here is a pic of the hardtop ---- bit more damage than I had anticipated! Apparently some one tried lifting the car by the top !!! Guess what? ........ it broke!
