General Just bought my first Punto Mk2

This is my first car! I'm so happy with it. I'm going back to collect it later and then its time for a really good clean, inside & out. I have a couple of ideas on what to do to it next.

First thing i need to do is get rid of the factory fitted radio! Do any of you know if I buy a cd player from halfords and get them to fit it, would they get me to buy the facia for the cd player?

Yes you would need the fascia for an aftermarket headunit, but be careful as some of them are bad fits.

I got my cd player from halfords with free fitting, they charged me extra for the fascia. And I also had to buy an antenna thing for the back of it.

I wouldn't pay out to get Halfords to do it. Give it a go yourself. You can get the fascia off the internet, and it's pretty straight forward to fit.

The most difficult thing is probably getting the old one out, but after that it's pretty much plain sailing!

Hi, as said have a go yourself, ariel adaptor from Amazon if required & you probably will need one for 98p or £4.99 from Halfords, but I would strongly suggest getting facia from Fiat £23.00 it fits better because it has metal clips to hold it in place, replica facias lack these clips & sometimes don't always fit nicely, don't buy it from Halfords they charge £16.00ish for Autolead ones which are cheaper on EBAY. If you prefer Halfords to fit it buy facia & ariel adaptor first then go to them & buy the Hu & get them to fit it at fitting cost with no added extras. If they fit it remember to turn it off everytime you get out of car as it will flatten battery as aftermarket HU are permantly live when wired into Puntos unless you us a switched live which turns off with the ignition.
