Had a 3 door Fiat Punto 1.2 Active on a 03 plate from Brand New(now 32,000 miles) and must say never had any problems in the time i had it ( except once which with the help of this forum saved me loads - thanks)

Decided to trade it in (£2000)and got the following

5 door Grande Punto Active 1.4 Sport in Black(on a 57 plate, delivery miles only)

This has cost me £6,000 plus my car

Have i got an ok deal (bearing in mind im a lady?). I only use it for getting from A to B etc

Also Im dubious about my decision due to reading about faults on here  and to be honest was gonna get a Peogeot (sp)

Pleasae convince me ive made the right decision

Thanks

You've made the right decision (y). Not a bad price either considering it was new although you could have got it a tad cheaper .

At least with the GP any fault you have will be little finicky faults and nothing serious or a hazard to your health all which will be fixed hopefully hassle free at your local dealer.

Where as Peugeot's tend to have a more safety related recalls and more disastrous things go wrong with them its not unknown for them to set fire to themselves . I used to work right next to a Peugeot's dealer and used to talk to the Mechanics and they used to tell me all about them .

Thanks Chris for the reassurance

Yea I COULD HAVE GOT IT CHEAPER BY SEARCHING ETC

I was happy to pay this as it included 12 months tax, local garage etc

Just checked the insurance and it works out £10 cheaper than my old car- that has surprised me as it has gone from group 2 to 3

Right one thing i need is mats

wheres the cheapest place for Fiat mats etc

Many thanks
