Hi,

Just joined up after someone posted up a link on the Fiat web forum to the site. Live in the Central Belt and drive an 07 Bravo Sport 1.4 Tjet - really like it.

Other than that, I mountain bike - not as much as I used due to being a new dad but that will come back...

Cheers.

Hi and welcome to fs, congrats on the new baby.

Yeah i need to get back to mbing again, used to be more into tricks and moderate d/h
now ive got too much of a spare tyre round my middle tho... LOL

Moray Monster Trails near Elgin and Pitfichie (I think!) near Aberdeen...come on people, don't let it slip!

The car is rather nice...it is fast but it isn't rapid off the mark (although I probably don't drive it properly) - it is plenty quick though...the Sport button does nothing unless you are almost standing start. However, it is comfy to drive and enjoys being driven quickly.

I wrote off the previous car (by shunting a mate at a roundabout!) and that had 300brake to it...bit of a come down but I have to say otehr than the acceleration, I don't miss the previous car - this one is just as good (as long as you accept 0-60 isn't going to be 6.2secs any more and if you are driving and want to overtake, it takes a few seconds longer to get past).

Seems to be ok on fuel and I've had no issues with it as such - a few queries but not faults or problems.

Bike (or 2) can sit in the boot and rear and seems to be happy carting them about.

Would be up for a meet (although I'm not that clued up on cars...I've a vague idea of the general chat about them but don't know much other than the jargon to be honest!) - depending on how the parenting is going I'd be up for a meet as well as a meet in the cars to go biking - for the folk up North, how far away if Laggan for you?

Sorry, bit up front for my second post...I'm needing to wade through the content on here to find out what the chat is like!

Thanks for the replies...

No need to apologise, we like chatty ppl on here :D

Laggan is a 2 hour drive for me, but worth it if a trail centre is best for biking...I reckon it is about 120 miles-ish (I think)...but for biking I'm happy to travel the length and breadth to ride my bike!

Is this a free 'club' or is there a membership fee to pay and stuff? I forgot to ask that in my first post!

its free, but there is a members bit under construction as we speak, so watch this space...........

Hiya, welcome to the site!

As previous posts say, it's a free forum - those who have names in yellow have generously donated a few pounds towards our running costs but there's absolutely no obligation to!!

As Stuart said/slagged (in my direction) not everyone here is entirely clued up on cars. That's the point of this place though, come on, ask questions and hopefully learn! I've been running this forum for 5 years and though I'd like to think I've learned a fair bit about Fiats I probably havent :sweatdrop:

Anyway, be sure and get some pics of the motor up! I'm also one of the many former mountain bikers on here, though I was never into anything more exciting than a blast through a forrest of a Sunday morning!

thats it m8, its on the pics at the top of the forums page :)
