I have a GP and thinking of getting the scuttle, wing mirrors and door handles sprayed a different colour the the rest of the car. Now A) will I need to inform my insurance company and B) if I do does anyone know if it will be likely to affect my premium and by roughly how much?

I would say yes, inform the company. But something like that probably won't affect your premium at all.

Only thing the company might say is that because its being changed to improve the look, it may be more desirable for thieves.
