Juddering Wipers

Can you use a clay bar on the windscreen to remove contaminants. I seem to find that my wipers only work smoothly after really cleaning the screen hard and then not for long.

You can see that there are areas that are not clean as the cleaner is evaporating no matter how hard you rub. Even though it looks spotless afterwards you know that it won't last long. :bang:

yep its fine to use

also clean your blades i use disc cleaner or meths to remove the grime off mine and haven't had any problems

wipe distilled vinegar over your wiper blades - smearing happens when there is a wax or oil present

would do any harm on widscreens either - meths and rubber dont mix very well, it will become hard and brittle and may mark/dry out trim

Good advice Chris, in this case then it would be best to use one of the clays that use water for lubrication purposes.

nar just clean the spray off after with a de greaser like washing up liquid

I've always used vinegar in water to degrease em.
