Obviousle the TD satnds for Turbo Diesel, but what does the J stand for?

I doubt it, seeing as it only puts out 105bhp.

More interesting (and its been mentioned before on here) is that there is no letter J used in Italian. The J has no meaning and is a product of the marketing dept!

Ahhhhhhhh!

That would seem likely, the marketing ploy that is.

Strangely enough, there's also no J in the Latin alphabet, but the letter G is pronounced as J.

I did wonder if the J refferred to "Junior"?

Jet as in "multijet" Turbo Diesel. As for the 110JTD that is now the 140JTD which we can make a 175JTD in 1.9 form :)

Oh and 210JTD in 2.4 form....
