thanks for the feedback. i am bargaining with Abreib to get a group purchase price. i got couple of JTDs, Ssang Yongs & Kia willing to try out the chip tuning box. it will be the first in Malaysia and hopefully can promote the product over here.

our diesel here is not even euro II yet with high sulphur level. yet, my JTDs has been running very well and top out at 180++kph

with this tuning chip might goes 200kph??

by the way, any idea why Alfa JTD105 has more torque than ours? it has 250Nm compare to 200Nm on ours. what is the secret to boost more torque? can u check it out?

I think the difference in torque is a listing error. The Alfa enging is identical in every way according to my 30+ years fiat mecanic friend.

it is? i found the several tuning house putting alfa 1.9JTD105 with higher torque. it can't be conincident right? i could be some sort of tuning on the ECU by alfa engineers to pump out more torque. i thinks. even their new JTDM engine is giving much more torque with marginal increase in HP.

maybe the turbo boost level...??? anyway, i need to work on my JTD. i really hope the Abrieb tuning chip has no adverse effect on mind. temperature will be a concern over here.

they probably adjusted the torque limiter in the ecu for the alfa model.

yeah...most likely AR engineer boost their JTD engine and working into the limit. let's see if my tunning box can do the job or not...

hi guys,

just to share my data after installing Vector-Turning, Germany.

Here is my initial test result with my marea 1.9JTD105.

Test = 0-100KPH
Before install = about 13.0sec
After installation
Setting 1 = about 13.5sec
Setting 5 = about 11.5sec
Setting 7 = about 11.0sec

From this rough testing, the tuning box does improve performance especially after 3000rpm. However, after setting 5, seems like increase in performance is not great. Will monitor its fuel consumption for several runs...

i think the torque is higher after 2500rpm.

Standard 0-60mph for a Weekend 1.9 JTD is 10.8seconds (10.5 for Marea).. Suggests yours is not running happily.

yeah...i read that somewhere but all this so call official timing is unknown to me. how is the test really been carried out? close to empty tank? air temperature? no spare tyre? etc... diesel quality.

our diesel quality is not even euroII with a lot of sulphur level. our temperature is about 30-33C which means less dense air.

maybe my clutch is slipping too... i can feel it. i am still playing around with the setting to get the optimum.

guys...generally torque is there to pull away..

An old post but I wondered how you got on.
More torque=more asked from the clutch department....
How about the jtd and wvo,are there any downsides to this or was biodiesel the way to go
