Re: I rest my case...............................

Don't be silly, of course he isn't! ;)

I just didn't really consider his parents would have hated him so much to send him around a 100 miles away.

Jeramy Clarkson amuses me at times. I seem to like opinionated, arrogant, narrow minded people, which is wierd because whilst two of those qualities may apply to me I always try to be open minded. Wasn't to keen on him trying to put vegetarians into Room 101, can you imagine a vegetarian trying to put omnivores into Room 101.

For some reason I found it particularly amusing when he described welsh people as being allergic to vowels.

I know this thread is two weeks old but now Neo's brought it up I might as well add my opinion!

I think Clarkson is a top bloke. On top gear, I'd prefer personally more normal cars but it's his show he can do what he likes (literally I believe after they persuaded him to come back) so I don't mind - still Top gear and the news are the only TV programs I try not to miss.

As for him, I don't care what he looks like and it obviously hasn't done his popularity any harm, it's his trademark. And on his views, I think Clarkson should be Prime Minister. I don't agree with a lot of his opinions but here is a man who would get things done, and ignore all this pathetic words-and-no-actions approach that ALL politicians do and do his best to make the country a better place. And he'd build some new roads for a start many people would elect him on that alone.

I honestly believe he'd give the main parties a run for their money if he could stand for prime minister like the yanks do for their president- and remember I don't agree with a lot of what he says!

So VOTE CLARKSON FOR PM!!!

And yes pinin_p if you're reading this I know it's been done on PSC!

I've only met him once but he seemed like a nice chap. He loves his Italian cars - he said of Lancia "they have never made a bad car" and he was honestly upset when they stopped selling cars in the UK.

He's owned countless Alfas and loves his Ferraris too. He speaks his mind and some people don't like him for that but you know the old saying...

I thought he was ok until he slagged us wednesbury folk off saying we were druggies and thieves, now hes a tosser and wouldnt dare come roung here and say it to our faces!

I've probably said this somewhere before, but:

I have no problem with old JC, however many people take his word as gospell, and form their opinions based on his, especially when it comes to cars that they'll never even drive.
