I'm sure I've heard the JCB song before - I vaguely remember the video on the 'net a while ago but I can't remember where, probably circulated a forum

I totally agree; there is too much cr*p in the charts these days. When something as talented as this comes alone it puts all the others to shame.1986Uno45S said:The best thing about this song is the way it was written, recorded and released by two unknown musicians and has stolen the thunder away from the controlling leeches of the record industry!
The two artists involved released it off their own backs without any major label support, via Amazon. The fact that it has picked up and become popular is brilliant, because it has done so on the strength of the SONG, and to a lesser extent the video.
It hasn't been marketed or hyped up like most of the modern pop/ X Factor/ Pop Idol shallow trash that we have forced on us. It's just an unknown song that has captured the hearts of people, which to me is what music should be about. Hell, who cares if they aren't pretty looking and can't dance. But they can actually sing and play their instruments unlike most of the other manufactured rubbish that is around...
For this alone I applaud it - two small fish in the very big pond of the record industry taking on the majors and giving them an almighty kick up the butt![]()
Should it be Christmas number one? If it stops the hyped up X-Factor song getting to number one then YES! And for me, I went off 'Christmassy' songs when Cliff Richard got to number one with Mistletoe and Wine (whine?!) :yuck:
Just to support the cause of true musicians/ song writers beating the record companies, I'm going to go and buy the single tomorrow.![]()
