But I had to come back with an odd question for you.
Why would somebody buy my Cinquecento, drive it around. Then get it through its' next MOT after it failed, so it's now MOT'd until September this year. Somehow lose 44000+ miles off the odometer between my last MOT in Dec 2013 (with 90,492 miles on it) and their new one (Feb 2016 with 46,036 miles on it???) and now Swansea don't have any further details on the car? Very strange. So, ringed? Crushed? Taken abroad?

Probably written off. may also be subject to a private plate transfer as that can wreak havoc with traceability.

Yes, probably a write off. I can't imagine a couple of young Asian guys, one of which couldn't even drive properly from what I could tell, would invest private plate money on a 1998 Cinq S 899cc. If that's the case it's a sad end to a great little car. I only got rid because the repairs started popping up every two weeks and I couldn't afford the Swarfega!
