Well I've had my New 500 for three weeks now and thought I'd just change my number plate to a personal one and then leave it at that.

Via this forum (RUI, Thankyou very much and the donation has gone to Cancer Research) I have got a replacement gear knob, which took less than 10 mins to fit, thanks to the guide on here, but it seems to have awakened my modding bug and I'm now looking at other mods I can do. Any suggestions that won't invalidate my warrenty ;)

Anyway here's a piccie of my first mod.

The first thing I did with my 500 was to take the front brakes apart & apply copperease to the sliding surfaces of the reaction frames :). It will save you from having to join the 'OMG my precious little Phoebee is only three weeks old & my brakes are squeaking' thread.

There will never be an easier time to do this than now, when everything is shiny. While you're down there, you could always paint the calipers if you're into that sort of thing.

Phoebee? Who calls their 500 Phoebee? If you're going to make fun of 500 names you would talk about little Luigarioenitoella or something similar. I still don't get the whole Benito thing. Name your car after a total ******/dictator? Why?
