hey all,,
i kno this mite sound stupid to some of u, but i cant figure out if i can but some -40mm springs for my seicento s, and fit them without changing the dampers.
im a bit skint, and would like to drop it, and buy the shockers as funds allow in the coming weeks/months.
any help appreciated

yeah, it'd work. Remember the sporting sits 20mm lower than the S, so if you buy -40mm springs that are for a sporting then your S will drop -60mm. Which is fine too.

Just remember that fitting the fronts is a bit of pita unless you love spannerwork, and you'll have to do it again with new dampers. I've done the same thing as you and need dampers...

But yeah it'll work

I find that when I'm a bit skint, it helps if I don't spend money on car parts I don't need. Is that strange?

Personally what I would do, is put the spring money to one side, and save up then buy and fit both items at the same time. Saves doing the same job twice.

Better buy the springs...and put them in a cupboard. removes the risk of spending the money on beer and such
