General Italy Unpacked

Not sure if anyone saw Italy Unpacked on BBC2 last night, but there was a bit where they were looking at and driving classic Abarth 500s (or, most likely Abarth replicas). It's available on BBC iPlayer.

Yes, I saw it.

I was a bit disappointed to see that all of the cars were quite highly modified.

No (nearly) standard examples. I suppose that there are still quite a few unmodded cars still in use in Italy (I always seem to spot plenty) & that garage's market is with peeps with some cash who want something visibly (& probably audibly) special...

I watch it for the Maserati so to get a 500 thrown in aswell was a bonus

Just watched 'Italy unpacked'---does anybody know who the garage is?--might just use it as an excuse to 'fancy a trip to Turin dear?'--looks like a beautiful city!----worth a try!

I haven't seen the program as it's not been released in Oz yet, but it sounds like fun. On the other hand, I have been to Turin and it's really worth the trip - it has some of the best curated museums in the world.
