I have had my 2001 Marea Weekend 1.6 for nearly 8 years and it is the best car I have owned. Its done 150k and I was contemplating changing the cam belt for the second time. My target is to get it over 200k. Sod's Law.....the orange engine warning light has started showing so I took it to a main dealer for a diagnostic test and they said new it needs a new Injector Rack £600+.
This sounds like a rip off to me.
The engine does not feel quite right so I guess there is a real problem.
As far as I can tell the solution is to replace parts. Starting with the injectors. Anyone know how to check them - do I just do the resistance check (which I have seen referenced somewhere), or are there some other checks?
I would appreciate someone's help.
