IronX

Evening everyone,

I am looking at using something like IronX at the weekend and give the car one last big detail before the end of the year. My question is do I just use normal Iron X or should I go for CarPro Snow Soap IronX.

Thoughts would be highly appreciated and alternatives to the two products mentioned above.

IronX is a full decontamination version, snow soap is for maintenance more than decontamination.

However, it is worth considering a few alternatives to IronX such as Britemax ironmax and Valet Pro Dragon's breath, also another good one less have tried is Bilt Hamber's offering in korrosol .

If you can cope without the colour change (which is the expensive bit) then I seriously consider you look Autosmart Fallout Remover if you have a rep near by.

Don't forget though that any of these iron/fallout removers are only pH neutral in the initial phase after spraying they become acidic after reaction .

Ninja59 so these products can be quite dangerous around your pain then if its going to change the colour . What would be the safest one to use in your opinion mate as the last thing I want is to fubar my paint lol.

I would not say dangerous just don't leave them to dry on anything hence if you have not used any iron remover something slightly slower reacting may be an idea.

I only warn people that they are not as pH neutral as everyone believes.

Many car care products are pretty dangerous with some of there contents just treat them properly and follow the instructions well.

i used ironx on my yellow car

2 tips

dont leave the car dripping wet... let it drip for 5 mins, allows it longer dwell time instead of just running off the car

Dont let it dry
And you can agitate it according to the bottle

you'd be surprised what will come off your car!

No mate but think I will got for bilt hamber korrosol mate. I think I will wait until feb/march to get it and try it lol

Quiet expensive though do you dilute it?

No mate you dont but I have heard that people have had to use 4 applications of Iron x whereas 2 applications seems to do the job from my reading anyways. I suppose all depents on the conditon of the paint and if you have clayed the car recently mate Reuuk
