iPhone 3G OS4.0.1 not charging via USB

Hi,

I bought my Grande Punto T-Jet last week!

I have the Blue&Me adaptor which I use when I have my iPhone 3G connected to the USB port in the car and it plays music fine. The only prob,em is that the phone doesn't charge but it's supposed to, instead it just runs down the battery even more quickly as the phone is being used for music.

I have been doing testing and downloaded an app on the app store to check battery percentage and it's definitely going down. The odd thing is though is when the iPhone is plugged in (and then it automatically starts playing music through the car), it shows the charging symbol on the iPhone but still doesn't charge, then after 5-10mins it shows the iPhone as fully charged even though it isn't.

I haven't tried using the iPhone without the Blue&Me adaptor as the music plays fine and I don't want to mess that up.

Also, I don't know what version of B&M is installed but I believe the garage updated it to the latest one.

Does anyone know the reason for this or a solution?

silly question, but have you tried turning the phone off and on again?

i had a similar charge problem with my 3G, rebooting it seemed to fix the problem.
