Driving yesterday the "generic failure indicator" lamp (amber triangle with exclamation mark) came on together with message - "hill holder not available & esp not available". The car is a 120 lounge dualogic not fitted with either! Car drove ok and fault went when I turned ignition off/ back on. Fault returned once more on turning key and has not been back.
Plugged in code reader today and no faults stored.
Any ideas/
Thanks in advance.

That will probably be your brake switch gone out of adjustment , if you get youyr foot under the brake pedal by mistake you can push the plunger on the brake switch out of adjustment, do it all the time in my bravo. if you are nimble fingered they are quite easy to adjust . Wedge the brake pedal down (screwdriver across the other 2 pedals will do) then locate the plunger of the brake switch ( git to find the first time) . Pullt the plunger down a couple of clicks and slowly release the brake pedal back up. Go for a drive and it should all sort itself out .

Thanks for the reply.
Having previously had the brake pedal switch fault I checked this first. The brake lights were not stuck on with the fault present and the gearbox changed above 3rd gear which it will not do if the brake light switch is at fault from my previous experience.
I have also made a small "stop" to prevent the brake pedal lifting and putting the switch out of adjustment.
Thanks again for replying.
