General Intermittent Starting Problems Fiat Multpla JTD

Hi

I am having intermittent starting problems with my Multipla ELX JTD 2002. It will not start from cold or hot, on a number of occasions in the last couple of weeks, It turns over but does not fire. It will sometimes start after being left for about 30 minutes.

I have noted on the forum that it could be the crank sensor. but would this cause the problem from an overnight start, or only when warm?

If I had a diagnostics test would it show up while it is still starting?

i had the same problem when the engine was hot it did not start untill left to cool down after that everything was fine.i have change the crank sensor and problem gone .easy to change

Thanks for the advice, booked it in to have the sensor fitted, hopefully it will solve the problem
