Well its time to take step 1.
I have booked the 20th of august to take the car in to my pal's car audio store to have some work done in the interior. Here is a list of things to be done:

1) Create and fit a leather coated replica of the OEM windbreaker spoiler.
2) Isolation of the entire cabin (sound proof isolation and some spongy material to get rid of squeaks and loose fittings).
3) Cover the top part of the dash and whole center console in leather.
4) paint the inside of the headlights silver (if possible to open up).
5) respray the two knee panels.

I will be taking photos of the work as being done and hopefully the result will be good.

Any comments before hand are very very welcome!!

"If for some reason any of you believe these mods should not happen please speak now or forever hold your silence":D

Hehehehehehe

Yeah, I guess its insulation :D

I m planning to use something to match the exterior and the seats. Might be black, might be ochra/beige, depends what color I decide for the body. I will use samples to see how it will look, then deside. If the dash wont look nice, then I will just paint silver the console like Doc did to match the original FL interior.

I'm not sure about ochra, assuming the seats are black and will stay black.

Beige could work, but I guess it comes down to having something consistent which includes seats, floor, mats, dashboard/console, doors and gear stick/cover.

Either way you're treating her well, mine counts it a birthday when she gets a wash!

Dear All,
I m back from a 3 week vacation and have done a little work.

Just before the car talk though I would like to say that here in Greece we are all devastated from the catastrophic fires that have burnt over 2.300.000.000 square meters of land!! Even more important though are the 64 fellow Greeks that have met a tragic end in these fires..
A moment of silence in honor of all....

Now, as for the B's progress!
I have installed the K&N air filter and painted the interior to match the face lift model. The only difference is that I used 647 silver paint to match the exterior.
Before and after pics are attached.
I didn't do the leather dash as the friend who helped claimed it would be a very hard mod and we wouldn't have the time to finish it. So maybe some time in the future when I visit my home town again...
I also changed the battery (the new one is bosch silver 55ah) which gave me a good chance to clean and paint the battery tray silver :D

Next step on the list is dark window membranes from 3M including the rear window of my black hardtop.
Then it is leather seats ;)
Then it is... oh well , you all know this list will never end :D

Take care all and hope you all have a nice new fresh start after summer.

First of all I think everyone is shocked to see the devastation and loss of life in Greece over the last weeks, so yes a minutes silence......

......

As for the mods, the interior is looking very smart. I sometimes think about changing the 1970s digital clock, but I'm not sure what I can change it to without too much work.

Νice work.I like the interior and you got me thinking........
As for the battery it was the 54459 type i was telling you?How much did it cost you?The K&N filter goes in the place of the original or you did any modifications to install it?And how many €?

Thanks Bill,
It does make the inside look MUCH nicer as it creates some contrast.
I m not sure of the battery type (i can check for a part number and let you know) but it was 23cm long, Bosch Silver, 55ah with 2 years guarantee. It cost me 95€.
The K&N filter goes right in the filter box just as the OEM filter. It cost me total 100€ from ebay.de. I havent noticed any difference though so far...
