right just installed my very first sound system in my 1995 punto s and now my front right speaker is playing up :(. i have installed a pair of 6x9's and an amp in the boot and ran my power lead down the right hand side of the car under the plastics and through to the battery via a gromit. this is just under the right hand front speaker and i was wondering if it could be interfearance off the power lead that is causing the speaker to crakle and rattle. it only tends to happen badly when the volume is turned up a bit its not bad on the low volumes but then again at the low volumes my 6x9's drown the other speakers. if anyone knows whether it is interfearance or just simply that the speakers arent upto the task then it would be appreciated.

Hi, I honestly think it is the fact you are over driving the door speakers if they are the original speakers they are not that good at the higher volumes.
To prove it to yourself, before you spend some more money, remove the power lead from the amp (just unscrew it) and then increase the volume on your HU you should still hear the noises at higher volumes.
This was the problem with mine before changing.

the thing is i used to have them at the volume i tried them at now before i put my amp in and they were fine its just since ive put my amp etc in that they have started doin this.

Try moving the power lead to see if that helps :)
