integrale EVO with new boots

integrale EVO with new boots

Sold the old rims a few weeks back, I have at present 3 spare sets of wheels that I do not really need, one set of 15" standard integrale EVO wheels, one set of white Enkei 15" wheels that are standard on an Ignis, 4x100 PCD only 5" wide centre bore 54mm so if centres taken out to Fiat 58mm would fit on a Cento and not have rubbing issues due to them not being wide  tried to get Emma to do this and she bought the Mo's, and a set of 14" Strada Abarth wheels that were on my Cinq should really sell them on.

And I nearly bought another set of wheels only a few weeks back, some Speedlines in white for teh grale, they came off a 147GTV, only covered 1500miles, so were perfect and less than half price, but decided another set was just getting silly.

Christ, how do you have room for all them wheels!!! the garage ain't that big. Get some of them whacked on ebay mate, get yourself some pennies back. I'd be tempted to keep the original 'grale wheels though..

Yeah I'll keep the grale wheels, I'll maybe stick the Strada wheels on here as i also have mega expensive Fiat PCD FK Automotive 30mm spacers, should slap them on here see what happens.

Got extra storage in basement of my flat as well, thats where I keep my MTB as well, and even managed to fit my mates Gilerra (Spelling?) Runner Scooter thingy in there when he came up in it.

Nice wheels and nice head unit!

How hard is it to get used to driving manual on LHD?

Get that car washed now.

Liam

Its not that hard, bit strange at first as your normal visual reference points change for lining car up in middle of road, but now seems natural. I like the fact that the indicators stalks are on LHS on a LHD car, and in the Ignis RHS on RHD car, this is how all cars used to be until car manufacturers started to make cost cutting so we in Britain got the column controls from LHD cars as the cars are LHD cars converted, but as Jap cars are built as RHD cars, and then converted for LHD markets we get indicators on correct side, makes it all feel right when driving both if you follow.

The head unit I've had for years cost a lot back then, its an Alpine 7874RB, long since deleted from range, but was at the time 2nd or 3rd best Alpine unit, first 4X60W headunit as well I think, 3X4V pre-outs, motorised face, remote control, though that sits in the house, I can't bring myself to changing it as it looks good, & performs great.

Yes once better weather is here I'll get it all polished up after getting new tailgate fitted and painted up.

very very very nice aaron. always loved the grale, they look lush and urs is deffo no exception. have u got any more plans for it whilst its in ur hands? or just enjoy it as it is?

Thanks mate. Standard they are 210bhp 224lbsft 0-62 5.7secs 137mph top, bus like aerodynamics put paid to that, 1/4 miles is 14.5ish secs, pretty much the same as most of the road going rally slag cars from this era are.

Mine has had mild chip and Bielstien of Germany induction system, so runs about 250bhp 275lbsft, but have a s/s manifold, new turbo as mines a bit smoky now, and a full turbo back s/s exhaust to go on which should not only allow the turbo to spool up quicker but free up another 25ish bhp and 30lbsft, and after that nothing more performance wise. Cosmetically I have a new tailgate to go on, and EVO2 alloy fuel filler cap & assembly, EVO2 rain/roof gutters much thicker and smoother looking, no longer available and were over £400+VAT new when they were, and have brand new carpet to fit.

As for big power, there are a fair few in UK with a true 400+bhp that are vary fast. I know of one in Sweden running 1000bhp and 9sec 1/4's and the current Cypriot hill climb champion has 897bhp at the wheels, so again over 1000 bhp at flywheel, and in so doing being a very comfortable 150+bhp more than any Jap 2L has achieved. he enjoys being the only Italian car against the Jap invasion and beating them constantly.

I've heard of this before, perhaps from you Aaron, can't remember. You got any pics/links to info on this car?? Hats off to the man indeed

Always wondered where the FF username came from now i know. :)

Ive never been an intergrale fan, i dont dislike them but they arent one of my favourite cars either, it is a stunning example though, i always thought the red ones looked the best however i have been swayed towards black now :D

Could you ever see yourself selling it, or is it a car for keeps

Are integrale's really as expensive to run as the Mags say? I always wanted one but i was told to budget £2000 a year for repairs.

Yes they are, this car was in 1992 £25,000, so it stands to reason a car that cost that much back then is going to be expensive to run, I've never spent that much in a year on it except when I picked up my interior which I paid £1500 for which in itself is cheap, seen them go for £2K+, but then i only use it as a 2nd car as to me its too special a car to use everyday even though I did for first 18months I owned it without trouble. But yes a budget of £2K a year is reasonable to cover any little niggles.

All the rally type cars are expensive to run, short service intervals which have to include drive train servicing, so wither its a Quattro, Cosworth, Subaru, Mitsi, Celica GT4, Sunny GTiR they are all going to cost money to keep on the road.

I do not see me selling it, only keeping it and buying house with bigger garage to keep my fleet :)

If I could add to it, I'd have a E30 M3 EVO2 in black as well so I could have the most successful saloon car ever to match my WRC car, and maybe a unmolested Clio Williams as greatest hot hatch and I'd just have some reliable runabout for everyday stuff, like I have with my Ignis at the moment, see nothing too far out of reach really :D

hi J333EVO must say the grale is looking relly nice on the new rims (y)
just sold mine last year as couldnt justafie the money i kept spendig on it each year anymore.but everytime i see a nice one like yours i hate getting rid of it :bang: .you will love it when you get the manifold and exhaust on the turbo will spin up much earlier and it will be even nicer to drive.AHHHHH you B*******now im depressed again !!! keep on enjoying the grale mate(y)

Yeah can't wait to get the manifold and exhaust on with a new turbo, but may have to go on hold yet again as just about to buy a new house, though it does have a garage and as its anew build i don't need to do any work in the house so may leave time if no money to get the car up and running again as i need to MOT it as it failed on emissions, think due to smoky turbo as CO2 very high.

Aaron.
