Hi Alex

Put your smart phone into a normal browser mode to see the site better.

You will then see the 10% off offer.

You may need to agree to a spy in the cab limited mileage etc to get a better quote first then go for 10% less.

So load a browser and search for site using it.

Shop about online, and over the phone, that would be my advise (y)

I paid around £3000 for my insurance on my seicento sporting when I was 17, just had to suck it up :( After my first year (no accidents) it's now about £1000.

I think the forum discount might not count for younger drivers, I'm sure I tried it... I think...

I got my quote from compare the market, did some shopping around on other sites and gave a couple of insurers a ring but compare the market came out top. For some reason when I was searching it was cheaper to go without a blackbox rather than be monitored but tbh I wouldn't enjoy my car if I was ;)

Hi,
Please feel free to give us a try if you like. If you wanted to PM me your details I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back.
Regards,
Dan.

I'm 18 and pay £220 a month, works out at £2400. At our age mate you just don't get cheap insurance! Especially being a lad! (Even though they say they've made it equal for boys and girls)
Shop around is the best advice I can give, also put your mum and dad on the insurance too, will come down a fair bit :)

Also, try going through Quidco for cashback deals. Last year my insurance was £144 but got an £80 cashback deal with Quidco so only paid £64 for the year!

Yes, that is right £64 FOR THE WHOLE YEAR! Oh the joys of being old, lol.

And try adding your parents as named drivers. My son saves about £40 for having me as a named driver. Goodness knows why, the only time I ever drive it is once a year when I take it for its MOT.

Ian.

I have been luckily enough to only have one accident which was in a company car. No affect on my policy and it was a fault with the car that caused it.
Mind you it did flip end on end at 60mph. :S

All accidents, losses or claims need to be declared, your fault or not, your vehicle or not, within the time period the insurance company asks. Otherwise you are giving them the perfect excuse for not paying out in the event of a required claim plus difficulty in getting future insurance when they cancel due to nondisclosure.

'Twas many a year ago now but that's something I wasn't aware of. Also being a pool car not my personal company car I was not made aware of a claim.

Thanks for the the heads up on future although I hope I never have an accident again now I have my daughter.
Her being in the car is reflected in my driving style.

So does that mean if i scratch my car off my garage door from reversing i would need to tell them because is an accident?

Hi
OK i've had a look on some comparison sites and the cheapest ive had on there is £3,000, on another site (i think lv) i got a quote of £2,900 (i think cant remember of the top of my head) when i get a decent quote it will be my mam on my policy as her license is clean
i think i may go for adrian flux because that's what my dad uses, but ill have another look around
