Depends i had a friend who was once involved in an accident with another car, was his fault and the other car had 2 alloys on, he thought this was strange but noted the fact as he'd damaged one of them on the impact. He got details of the other party, contacted his insurance and mentioned the alloy as he'd damaged it, turns out the other party hadnt declared the alloys so he was uncovered and was bump for bump, friend got his car fixed on the cheap, other party had to pay up themselves!
