Did anyone watch the itv1 tonight program, the true cost of a car?
Whilst there are many points in the documentary I'd question, the biggest questionable point for me was the avoidance of accidents due to fronting. Fronting is where an older person, typically a parent insures a car for a young driver.
One couple on the program claimed that there son as a passenger in an accident wouldn't have been in that position if the driver hadn't been a named driver on his blind grandfathers insurance. Forgive me if I sound harsh, but the accident would have occurred regardless of how the driver was insured, at least he was insured and a personal injury claim could be made.
Anyone else of the same opinion?
