How easy is it to install the blue n me system to a 1.4 8v active ? prob using items from a crashed gp at local scrap yard ? and what parts are needed ?

Could be wrong on this and if I am I know some one will put me right, but I believe that B&M can only be factory fitted as you have to change electrics from the brain and install the Microsoft TM gizmo, then the USB port change steering wheel change head unit etc, etc.
I know when I was buying my car I wanted to add B&M to a basic active but was told that it has to be fitted at the factory.
