i would do some of the work and see how your bhp goes.isnt tricker pushing about 80bhp on his cinq?

Trickers is 95bhp...

Mine should be 80+ as soon as I fit the engine.. then With Headwork that is planned etc... should be somewhere handy....

Be cautious of the figures engine builders quote you. I'd say Tricker's car is as far as you can go and make the car driveable - but with the cam he has fitted you will really struggle to pass a UK MOT.

With a wet nitrous oxide injection kit, a measured amount of fuel is injected alongside the N2O. It should be set so the net result of the addition doesn't alter the mixture in the cylinders, so the ecu won't even know there's anything different. The ecu just thinks it's business as usual.

With the turbo, unless you're running a custom mapped ecu, you need a second injector as the boost isn't simply on/off like the N2O - you may be running at 7/10 throttle and 2psi boost, so you don't need as much extra fuel in as you would when the boot is down harder and you're running 5psi, 8psi etc. It needs to be variable, where the N2O is either off or +25bhp etc, no middle ground.

My spec will be pretty similiar to Trickers except the custom inlet manifold which i'm currently looking into.. and some decent mapping or mapable chip... MOT's not really an issue tbh.

Is ok not been promised stuff by a certain engine builder ;)

Cheers for that will have a chat with a guy I know who instalss the systems and see what he can sort out for me.

But will the standard injector be able to handdle 80+ BHP is my main concern tbh which no one seems to know?

I would say the reason for the 2nd injectors on the turbo's is due to the nature of the setup itself i.e. forced induction, the 2nd injector ensures there is no starvation problems.

I would think the amount of air needed by a n.asp lump and forced lump to be quite different.

Air isn't the issue though is it?

Its Fuel starvation and running too lean surely?

And I already know the results of that!

With more air going in you require more fuel though, are you goign to use the 75 injector?

There is some chat at the moment on evoforum about injectors and someone on there is running 896cc injectors on a 430bhp integrale as the 596cc injectors were maxing out on 100% duty cycle, remember these are turbo cars so I don't know enough to know what diff it makes.

I've cut a bit of the conversation for you. It is about what is needed to run 400bhp as he had planned on using 550cc injectors.

"im running 430 bhp on 896cc injectors on 82% duty at 1.35 bar boost, tryed 596 cc injectors they couldn't cope maxed out 100%duty.

Anyone want to buy some as new 596cc injectors should be good for 350ish bhp £180"

"agree with Nick and Carlo.

550's will not be big enough. I am running 900cc Siemens ones"

"Thanks for the pointers so far chaps!

So it seems like 550cc will need to be changed to a min of 650cc or higher then, thats not a problem as i havent ordered them yet."

HTH Aaron.

Hi there

I'm running 95 hp clean on the standart monopoint injector no problem.
But, full duty cykle is really close so to get more hp from the injector I will have to go for higher fuel pressure or a 2. injector.

Reaching 85 hp on the standart inlet fold is possible but over 90 hp you'll need a good head and inlet work and a better cam.
My cam is the 280 degree cam from Colombo & Bariani and my 95 hp is only possible because of the inlet manifold that I built for the engine.
