no.. a wet nos kit should include an extra fuel injector and a solenoid to control it. you shouldnt need a standalone controller

custard boy said:surely the normal injector could cope off nos?

fixitagaintomorrow said:Be cautious of the figures engine builders quote you. I'd say Tricker's car is as far as you can go and make the car driveable - but with the cam he has fitted you will really struggle to pass a UK MOT.
fixitagaintomorrow said:With a wet nitrous oxide injection kit, a measured amount of fuel is injected alongside the N2O. It should be set so the net result of the addition doesn't alter the mixture in the cylinders, so the ecu won't even know there's anything different. The ecu just thinks it's business as usual.
fixitagaintomorrow said:With the turbo, unless you're running a custom mapped ecu, you need a second injector as the boost isn't simply on/off like the N2O - you may be running at 7/10 throttle and 2psi boost, so you don't need as much extra fuel in as you would when the boot is down harder and you're running 5psi, 8psi etc. It needs to be variable, where the N2O is either off or +25bhp etc, no middle ground.
bloomfieldliam said:I would say the reason for the 2nd injectors on the turbo's is due to the nature of the setup itself i.e. forced induction, the 2nd injector ensures there is no starvation problems.
I would think the amount of air needed by a n.asp lump and forced lump to be quite different.

jamie86 said:Air isn't the issue though is it?
Its Fuel starvation and running too lean surely?
And I already know the results of that!![]()
bloomfieldliam said:With more air going in you require more fuel though, are you goign to use the 75 injector?

J333EVO said:have you worked out what CC the injector has to be, I think about 380cc would be fine and to give you and example the standard injectors from a Subaru STi are rated at 500CC each, normal WRX 380cc got it from here http://www.ecutek.com/tuning/injectors/
