My 1.6SX Brava's Injector Light came on whilst driving, and the engine feels like its only running on three cylinders (I may be wrong, but it's certainly rough and sort of "lumpy" sounding).
I've checked out the repair guide, its a little sparse.
I'd be glad of any advice as to getting it fixed.
Do I need a Fiat Main Dealer garage to get this done, or would any competant garage be able to fix it?
Ten minutes before the warning light came on I'd filled up with petrol. Could contaminated fuel be the cause? How could I check for this?
Or is it more likely to be an injector that's kaput?
If something similar happened to your car I'd be grateful to know how it was put right and the costs involved. I'm assuming this will be expensive. Should you replace all the injectors (if one fails), or just the faulty one?
I doubt there's a cheap remedy, but I'll check the bleeding obvious tomorrow, meanwhile any ideas how best to proceed much appreciated!
