Technical injector pipes - and where to get them

I need an injector pipe for a number 4 injector (right hand side) for a 2.8 jtd.

Fiat, citroen etc. will only sell a full set at a crazy price and I've called about a fifty breakers who have said they will only sell the engine as a whole or that the pipes have gone to the crusher. I did find one set but they had been disconnected a couple of months and had rusted internally.

I know the italian guys turbocompressori.net sell them but they're out of stock.

Anyone got any ideas where to look or anyone have a seized engine hanging about?

Diesel fitter should be able to make one to pattern if you've still got the old one.

No diesel fitter can make common rail pipes the pressure is too high and the pipe too hard to bend without weakening it. They can't even buy them as they are a dealer part specific to each engine not sure where turbocompressori guys are getting them but the lead time it huge so I imagine the OEM in far east.
You're not even supposed to reuse common rial pipes but can usually get away with it.

Hi notnug, thanks a million for the offer I eventually found a set in Hungary the post was more than the pipe of course. Just arrived so fingers crossed I am sorted.
I was thinking of getting a spare engine myself as I'm sure I've already spent the equivalent on parts. How much did you pay for your engine out of interest? Thanks, Paddy

At some point the rail connections changed from 14mm to 12mm. The I need are 12mm at both ends and the pipes I got are 14mm at the rail end.

Sorry Corkman, haven't been on the forum for a while. I might have a spare set of lines (from rail to injectors) but I'll have to check. If I do we can do a deal for the one you need and I won't be looking for "Main Stealer" money for it!

Just realised I've confused people its the thread that I'm talking about not the nut. The newer ones are M12 thread (14mm nuts).
